We have good news for tourist badge collectors. A special badge for the 27th International Narrow Gauge Railway Rally was issued recently.
The badge will be available during the Rally, October 12th-15th, at Żnin County Railway station and at the Museum of Narrow Gauge Railway in Wenecja.
Tourist badges of the Pałuki Museum branches and Żnin County Railway will also be available.

The Polish Post issued special stamps for the 27th International Narrow Gauge Railway Rally. The stamps feature three stem engines which will participate in the event: Merapi, Borsig and Px-38 Leon. Besides, special postcards have been issued. They can be sent during the Rally by special railway postal service which is launched for the event. The special postal service from Gąsawa to Żnin will be pulled by O&K staem engine (departure from Gąsawa at 1:00 PM).
The stamps and postcards are available at the Żnin station and at the Narrow Gauge Railway Museum in Wenecja.
During the trip to Hel you will see HF50B Petera Erka Engine, which can also be seen at the main part of the Rally.
HF50B Engine has a 50 kM diesel engine. Due to its construction it was also called ‘the empty engine’. In 1942 it was entered under KML4 in the list of military engine, as a 60-KM engine. It was also manufactured after the War between 1941-1958. 600 engines of this type were manufactured. They were made as 600 mm and 750 mm gauge by Deutz, Diema, Gmeinder, Orenstein & Koppel, Schöma i Windhoff. HF50B was also manufactured in Spain, under a licence by, Metalúrgica de San Martin (MSM).
Registration for the Hel-Józefowo and Białośliwie-Wysoka trips will last until 2 October 2017, 12:00 hrs. You must pay by 3 October 2017 (the account of Muzeum Ziemi Pałuckiej must be credited by this date).

Hel-Józefowo Tour
Due to technical reasons the trip will not include Krakulice. On the second day the participants will go to Józefowo, where the peat railway operates as well.
Term: 09.10.2017 – 10.10.2017
The participants will take a trip on a historical train hauled by a diesel locomotive HF50 Petera Erka, which ran in Hel during World War II. The passenger cars were manufactured in factories located, among others, in Görlitz and were remade to facilitate travelling inside bunkers. Białośliwie-Wysoka Tour
Term: 11.10.2017
The tour covers the towns of Białośliwie and Wysoka. The participants will visit and learn about one of the most beautiful treasures of the District of Piła, namely the 600 mm narrow-gauge railway operated since 1895. The trip with stopovers for photo shooting will be headed by a steam locomotive Px38 Leon from Żnin, which used to operate in Białośliwie.

Manufactured in 1927, Bd series, is less than 2 meters long. Our experts from Żnin County Railway have just started its technical inspection and they will try to start it. It will surely be an huge attraction for the visitors who will visit Żnin in October for the Meeting.

Online registration deadline is September 10th, 2017. After this date accommodation may be booked on your own by contacting the required facility.
The main part of the Meeting fall on October 12-15th, however several days before that accompanying attractions are prepared for the Meeting participants, including a 2-day trip with a visit to Hel and Krakulice, where peat railway works.

In 2016 the Narrow Gauge Railways Meeting was held in Panevėžys, Lithuania. Representatives of Żnin Distict took part in the railway lovers meeting which had been held for the 26th time.
In was in Panevėžys that Żnin District was officially given the rights to organize the 27th edition of the Meeting. Every year the organizers are handed over a symbolic wooden plaque with the name of the event, which is placed in the central part of the event.
The selection of the host of the 2018 Meeting is an important point on the agenda. Romania and Russia competed to be the organizer, and the voters decided that they would meet in Romania.
